Morris Dual Liquid Option for 10 Series Air Carts

Air Carts GO BACK

More liquid, fewer stops: Morris Dual Liquid options for 10 Series Air Carts

Getting crops planted in time is one of the biggest challenges during seeding. When weather and soil conditions are right, every stop to refill takes valuable time away from the paddock.

Morris now offers a rear-mounted liquid tank option for 10 Series Air Carts, giving growers the choice to increase liquid capacity or carry two products for separate application.

What is the Morris Dual Liquid option?

The tank is available in a 4,300-litre or 3,000-litre tow-between configuration and a 3,000-litre tow-behind configuration, (TBH capacity is reduced because of the rear mounted fans.) It can be specified on a new air cart or retrofitted to an existing 10 Series model, subject to compatibility.

Growers then can decide on whether the liquid tank is to be used to increase capacity or to have the option of applying two products separately.

Option 1: Add capacity with a nurse tank

Configured as a “nurse tank”, the rear tank feeds into the air cart’s main liquid tank, increasing total liquid capacity by up to 50%. The added capacity can help reduce refill stops, particularly for growers applying higher rates of UAN or using products such as wetter.

Option 2: Apply two products separately

The Dual Liquid option can also be configured to carry two products for separate application.  As Eliot Jones, McIntosh Distribution Morris sales, explained:

“The second is a true dual liquid system, with two individual pumps on the air cart. That allows you to run two products independently and deliver them to different points on the opener with variable rate section control.”

Mr Jones said the ability to apply products such as wetter and UAN simultaneously—and precisely where they’re needed—was a significant step forward in seeding system capability.

“It’s particularly suited to soil types where you need both moisture management and nutrition working together,” he said.

Developed and tested in Australia

McIntosh Distribution in conjunction with Morris developed the Dual Liquid option in response to growers’ increasing UAN application rates and interest in carrying a dual liquid system on the air cart. Both configurations were tested in Australia during the 2025 seeding season.
